At a local infant school a teacher gave the children a few math problems for homework. The next day the teacher pulled Tom out and told him that he had all of his wrong. His answers to the problems set were:
10 + 7 = 5
9 + 6 = 3
11 + 5 = 4
8 + 11 = 7
Tom was also right. How was this so?
