Hello guys, I am back! Havn't been updated my blog for quite a long time until recently I participated in "IF I HAD RAPUNZEL HAIR" blog post, and this blog post"Post event-Digi Pimp My Music".Well, you guys may feel surprised that most of my friends didn't know I had won an invitation to Digi Pimp My Music Party on 11 Nov because I,myself also didn't expect to win this invitation. It was on a fine day when I was working as a part time librarian in my university,I logged into Nuffnang mainpage and saw a contest. The contest is to tweet about my favourite celebrity in a most creative way and 60 nuffnangers will have a chance to attend the Digi Pimp My Music Party,in which the cool thing that attracted me are the prizes:i Phone 3Gs to be grapped by best dressed blogger and the most creative post event post blogger. Then I decided to tweet for fun without putting any hope to win anything.

Here's my tweet on 7 Nov: You ain't nothin' but a hound dog, cryin' all the time! Who can beat Elvis Presley @NuffnangMY and #digiphone ?You r my super star, Elvis!

On 9 Nov, when I was checking my e-mail, I saw an e-mail from Nuffnang! Without much realization that I had already won an invitation, I clicked the message and the following message displayed in front of me:

Dear Nuffnanger,

You're cordially invited to the DiGi Pimp My Music party happening on;


Date: 11 November 2010 (Thursday)
Time: 7 pm
Venue: Velvet, Zouk KL

A single invite has been reserved under your name and email address. Kindly RSVP to pimpmymusic@nuffnang.com by 12 pm, 10 November 2010 (Wednesday) to confirm your attendance to the party. Failure to do so will result in your invite being revoked and passed on to other bloggers. Please do not reply to this email.

Also, do remember to come dressed as your favourite music celebrity because the best dressed blogger will walk away with an iPhone 3GS! Well, that, and we'd just really like to have a Lady Gaga come to the party :P

Wow, it's like this is my first time to win something from Nuffnang! And this will be the first time I am going to attend a Nuffnang event! Anticipated with excitement, I am going to dress up as my favourite celebrity-Elvis Presley on that night, wakaka...

To be more like Elvis, I really need to do something, and for me renting a costume of Elvis is a must for this event since there is iphone 3Gs for best dressed blogger to grab, haha. So, I called up my friend and asked him where was the place he rented his costume last time when we had Party theme Rock & Roll in our uni. He told me the location and I went there the next day (10 Nov) which is one day before Digi Pimp My Music event! The place is located at Jalan Raja Chulan,KL (The Weld Mall)-L2-09-Level 2, No.76 and the shop is called COSTUMES 'N' PARTIES. Chose the coolest Elvis costume which costs me RM120 with the wig and totally of RM240 including the deposit. Thinking that costume and wig is not enough for Elvis appearance, I decided to equip him with an electric guitar. I borrowed the guitar from a friend and tell you guys it is damn heavy, haha!

So jeng, jeng, jeng...

Let me introduce you to the coolest and the only one-Elvis Presley!!!!!! *applauding*

Am I cool enough?

Okie, let me fashfoward to the event day-Digi Pimp My Music party! I carried the electric guitar all the way from Bukit Jalil, took LRT train to Masjid Jamek, then switch to Kelana Jaya line to depart to Ampang Park station, the whole journey took me about 1 hour. It was drizzling when I reached the station, so I took a cab to Zouk, Velvet underground,located at jalan Ampang!



I reached there with normal outfit (Not Elvis yet), haha! Lined up for registration, got the door gifts from Nuffnang, thanks a lot! :-D Guess what were the gifts? Kylie's album and a Glee folder! Not bad huh? After registration, we entered to the "underground" haha to a specific place booked by Nuffnang! I saw quite a lot of people attended without a proper celebrity costume, but there are a few who really put quite a lot of effort in their outfits. To name a few, Lady Gaga, Marilyn Manson, P Ramlee, Jason Mraz, Michael Jackson, etc. The Emcee, dressed up as Adam Lambert (but he called himself Adam Robert?,lol)

started the Nuffnang event by singing "What do you want from me?"-Adam Lambert's popular song, haha! The first game he introduced to us is basically an ice-breaking game which we need to mingle around to get to know each other's celebrity identities and real name.Then the emcee will call one celebrity up to stage and call another one up to stage too, and the two celebrities must know each other real name! I walked around a small area only and got to know few people before he called for time out! You know what? After the time-out, the first name I heard was "Let's us invite ELVIS PRESLEY to the stage!" Lol, it was me, sweat! Then the second person being called was P Ramlee. Haha, obviously we didn't know each other's names. Mission failed, haha! But the emcee was kind enough to give us some prizes too, appreciated it! :-) A bag of Digi souvenirs :-D

I managed to find out that P Ramlee was also a Sarawakian just like me, but he is from Miri while I am from Kuching, discovered 2 more Sarawakians on that night :-) Go Sarawak! Haha, we rock! Here's a snapshot of me with P Ramlee!

After that, dinner was served! The food was incredibly awesome, haha! If I knew there will be dinner served, I would have not eaten my dinner before I came and would reserved my stomach for such a nice food! See the queue of people lining up to take the food, some people even went for 2 to three rounds to get food, lol!



After dinner, there was a Tweet session when the Emcee gave us a few questions on the screen and asked us to tweet back the answers. The fastest 3 nuffnangers who answered all three correctly won a bag of Digi souvenir.

After the tweeting session, here's came the highlight of the day, PRESENTATION by Mr. Darren Woon on DIGI MUSIC PLAY-Malaysia 1st iphone application for unlimited music download! Next after the presentation, there is a session called Dancing Bloggers. There were 3 rounds which each rounds any number of bloggers could go on stage and dance according to the Music played. However, when the music stopped, the bloggers have to freeze in a creative/outstanding pose to win the game! Haha, I participated in the 2nd round but lost! Losers could win a limited edition Glee Mug too! :-) Here it's!

Right after this,exciting moment had come! The emcee was going to announce shortlisted best-dressed bloggers!! My name was called-thumbs up to my celebrity ELVIS!!!

So here are the shortlisted 4 finalists:

We have Elvis Presley, 2 Lady Gaga(s), Marilyn Manson



We were asked to perform for few minutes to impress the judges, it started with me first. The DJ played a slow song (Not Elvis song though because they don't have one), I was like how to dance like Elvis if there is no Elvis song, arghh!!! If you tried to notice me at that time, I always look at the DJ to hint them that I want an Elvis song!! Sigh...but in the end there's no Elvis song :-( Marilyn Manson also didn't get his type of songs while the 2 Lady Gaga(s) got their theme songs, I would say they were lucky because Lady Gaga is so popular. When one the Lady Gaga was performing dancing, I was like Wow, I think I had no chance to win i Phone 3Gs already, she could dance so well, sigh..But come on, like Jessicat (the other Lady Gaga) had said, this contest is a best dressed contest!! Not best performance contest!!It's BEST DRESSED!!!!!! But in the end the Lady Gaga who very good in dancing won the judges' heart because of her dance :-( I was so disappointed because I was so close to getting free iphone 3Gs so to replace my old lousy phone but my dream had broken :-( The chance 1/4 just slipped away!!! :-(

Haha, I found this from youtube: There are actually some similarities between Lady Gaga & Marilyn Manson!!! What’s funny is that someone must’ve told shock rocker Marilyn Manson that he resembles two chicks….namely Lady GaGa and Michelle “Bombshell” Mcgee .



Haha, both of them really fight till the end...

In the end, Lady Gaga, great dancer won iphone 3Gs *jealous* *sobs, sobs- I want!*

The other 3 finalists (including me) only got a Glee Limited Edition Mug :-(

The event marked an ending here! It was very successful! However, I had a mixture of feelings prior & after this event. DISAPPOINTMENT (for getting so close to win iphone 3Gs but in the end it was not mine :-(, there was no alcohol served during event, only soft drinks, haha ), UPSET (thought I had accidentally spoilt a part of the electric guitar when it fall onto the floor during the party), REGRET( for not perform as how the real Elvis taught me in my dream how to dance cool! And for not wearing the cheerleader costume inside the Elvis costume and show it to everyone at the end of the song, maybe should perform toe touch once :-(, EXCITEMENT (to attend Nuffnang event for the very first time and got to know a few Nuffnangers :-) ), SATISFACTION (for being chosen as one of the finalists and took thousands of photos by them on stage, for having fun on that night)


Hope to attend more Nuffnang events again in the future and I shall sign off now...
